Smart City Brake Support is now standard across the CX-3 range. This break support system is designed to reduce rear-end collisions by allowing a vehicle to stop at low speeds before a frontal impact. Smart City Brake Support can automatically apply the brakes in emergencies when going less than 19 mph. Other new features include a full color Active Driving Display, power driver’s seat with memory settings, and a heated steering wheel (something else to help make a harsh winter manageable).

To go with the now-standard predictive i-ACTIV AWD®, exclusive G-Vectoring Control has been introduced to aid in steering, handling, stability, and confidence. More improvements to handling have been made in way of a thorough revision of the chassis and steering system. This will also provide greater comfort and improved sound suppression.

Additionally, the entry-level CX-3 comes standard with cloth seats, power windows, power remote door locks, power mirrors, two USB inputs, rear-view camera, Bluetooth calling and audio-pairing, and Mazda Connect. Mazda Connect features a seven-inch full color display that combines information, entertainment, and diagnostic functions in one place. It can be controlled through voice commands, the touchscreen while at a standstill, or via the Commander control knob while the vehicle is moving.
