While the Mazda CX-5 continues to be one of the most stylish compact crossovers out there, perhaps its most notable new feature is an available turbocharged engine. Turbocharging technology has become so popular over the years and more and more automakers are including turbocharged engine options. The 2019 Mazda CX-5 is one of the newest models available with such an engine. The uppermost trims, the Grand Touring Reserve and the Signature, come with a standard 250-horsepower, SKYACTIV®-G 2.5 turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine with Dynamic Pressure Turbo. This same engine can be found under the hood of the new Mazda6 and Mazda CX-9. Drivers will get a thrill as they drive down the highway and they can enjoy the standard SKYACTIV®-Drive six-speed automatic transmission with manual-shift and Sport Mode. Drivers can also choose between front-wheel drive and i-ACTIV AWD®.
